Qualcomm has introduced a relatively new chip that is found on Google Nexus 5. It’s about Qualcomm QFE1100, a responsible energy saving chip.
It is not the first time the chip is used. Qualcomm QFE1100 can also be found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, released two months ago, and is basically an interface that enables the development of 4G LTE devices globally. Qualcomm QFE1100 is used by device manufacturers to streamline energy use for future smartphones and tablets. So far, the differences for frequencies and specifications were more pronounced between different parts of the world. The 4G LTE standardization is attempted to be made for both devices and also for the transceiver antennas.
Because differences remain large, manufacturers use the interface provided by Qualcomm to optimize energy consumption and the internal temperature of the smartphone with the network it communicates.
Thanks to Qualcomm QFE1100 chip, it was estimated that Nexus 5 will have a higher autonomy on 3G/4G networks than almost any other device on the market. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which has been shown to withstand in use for more than a day despite its screen size and specifications.
